Frequently Asked Questions
...and their answers
What are the IoT One Rate Details?
Must use AT&T-approved IoT LTE-M device. Each device must have a separate unlimited data plan. Pooling data across devices is not available. Plus applicable taxes and fees. Charges not pro-rated if service cancelled before end of term. Maximum throughout speed on unlimited plan is 64kbps. May not be used to establish a continuous, unattended connection to the AT&T network. AT&T may proactively reassign customer to an IoT pooled data plan upon notice to customer, unless prohibited under customer’s agreement or regulation.
What addition details apply to the IoT One Rate plan?

What modules and devices are certified for use on the AT&T LTE-M and NB-IoT networks?
Approved modules and devices can be found at https://att.com/iotdevices/
When will the networks be available for use?
LTE-M is available today throughout the US and Mexico, it was deployed in 2017. AT&T plans to launch NB-IoT in 2019.
What are the differences between the two networks?
LTE-M has higher bandwidth and lower latency compared to NB-IoT. It also has the ability for full mobility and voice. With that, it is a better fit for use cases that may require a bit more bandwidth, over the air updates, or are in constant motion.
Where are LTE-M and NB-IoT deployed globally?
LTE-M and NB-IoT networks are deployed by carriers across the globe, available in over 60 countries and territories. The latest list can be found at https://www.gsma.com/iot/deployment-map/
