No. Teams Phone Mobile does not change or enhance SMS or mobile messaging on your mobile device. All existing mobile messaging and SMS functionality remains unchanged.
SMS messaging to a computer through Microsoft Teams is not supported and is not a feature of Teams Phone Mobile.
Downloading the Microsoft Teams app is optional. You can continue to make and receive calls on your mobile phone as you normally would, without opening the Teams app.
If you choose to use the Microsoft Teams app, it provides additional collaboration features such as meetings, video calling, and content sharing.
