AT&T Business Voice (ABV) service is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service requiring a broadband connection and electrical power to operate. The customer-provided broadband connectivity may be provided by AT&T (e.g., AT&T Business Fiber®) or another service provider’s broadband connectivity. Battery backup capability is designed for up to 24-hour backup, subject to operating and environmental conditions. Emergency Calling/911: Emergency calling (911) operates differently with VoIP services (as compared to traditional telephone service) and may not always be available to users of AT&T Business Voice service. Examples include: the underlying broadband connection fails or is interrupted; electrical or battery power is lost to the device or network connection used by ABV; the ABV equipment is relocated or moved without completing the required change order process; 911 is dialed from a location other than the registered location for ABV; or, the ABV registered location is not updated in a timely manner. Customers are required to notify all persons who may place calls using ABV service or may be present at the physical location where ABV services may be used, of the limitations of reaching emergency services. Customers are required to affix warning labels provided in a readily visible place on each piece of equipment that might be used to access or use ABV services. Use of service requires acceptance of applicable agreement terms, the AT&T Business Voice Terms of Service, and applicable 911 acknowledgements.
