FAQ
What is Zoom Meetings?
Zoom Meetings is a cloud-based video-conferencing application that allows users to set up virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live chats, screen-sharing, and other collaborative capabilities for meetings. Users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate one another's screens.
How do the subscriptions work?
There are multiple Zoom subscription options for Zoom Meetings that vary based on the features included and meeting capacity. Below are the options that AT&T offers:
- Zoom Meetings & Chat
- Zoom Video Webinars
- Zoom Rooms
- Zoom Events
What is the maximum number of participants in a Zoom session?
The In-meeting participant capacity will vary depending on the subscription model. Zoom Meetings are sized 100, 300, 500, or 1,000. The number indicates the total number of participants that can access a particular Zoom Meeting at any one time. To meet the needs of larger meetings, consider Zoom webinars which can handle up to 50,000 participants.
Most of our meetings require fewer than 100 participants, but occasionally we need to host calls with up to 500 participants. What service should I buy?
Zoom Meetings 100 should meet your everyday conferencing needs with Zoom Webinars 500 add-on option to manage larger meeting needs.
What are the billing elements?
There are two billable components: A Zoom video/web conferencing subscription and the audio conferencing that is billed on a Cost Per Minute or Flat Rate model.
What’s included?
The service features high definition video, web sharing, on-net and off-net global audio conferencing, instant messaging/chat, presence, cloud recording of meetings (video, audio, shared material) and transcription services.
Is there an app?
There is an app, but it does not need to be pre-installed. When invited to a meeting via a URL link, you will get a prompt to download the app when you click on the link.
Is there an Outlook plugin?
Yes, as well as one for IBM Notes.
Can I tap into our telepresence rooms with Zoom Meetings with AT&T?
Yes, the Cloud Room Connector enables H.323 and SIP video endpoints to meet with other conference rooms, desktops, or mobile devices in the Zoom cloud and leverage those technology investments.
Can I record my Zoom meetings?
Hosts have the ability to record meetings to their local device. This ability can be restricted or allowed for the entire account, specific groups, or individual users. Hosts with a license and the proper plan can record to the cloud, with Zoom storing all your meetings for you via cloud storage.
Where are my Zoom recordings saved?
By default, recordings are stored locally on your device. You can find them where your files are typically downloaded. With certain plans, cloud recording storage is included. With this enabled, meeting recordings will be stored via Zoom’s cloud storage, saving you space and centralizing access to your stored recordings. You can also purchase extra cloud storage space as an add-on.
