Service-to-Service Interconnect (STSI) is a Total Service access solution for which the Local Channel terminates in a LEC Serving Wire Center (SWC), rather than the customer premise. Most commonly, customers use this arrangement to connect an AT&T long-haul application to an optical mux, a collocation cage in the SWC or a node on a Metro SONET ring (such as SmartRing or DSRS purchased from the AT&T Regional companies).

STSI allows customers to take greater advantage of their local networks and offers competitive pricing to connect to the AT&T Long Haul network, making STSI terminations very attractive!
