Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Services allow you to implement IP and MPLS-based VPNs within your network, and in specific cases for your end customers' networks. MPLS VPN technology establishes and prioritizes traffic and is designed to provide consistency across the network. This allows you to consolidate applications on a common core networking platform and provides cost savings and simplified management. Please note that availability of these services varies by customer application and typically requires a customized solution.
Virtual Private Network Services
AT&T Multiprotocol Label Switching is the primary network-based technology provisioned on the AT&T Global IP Network. VPN information is preserved when crossing AT&T's network. Therefore AT&T can manage VPN routing on behalf of our customers, requiring no MPLS-specific configuration in Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). AT&T MPLS offers service level agreements for both Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS). Please note that availability of these services varies by customer application and typically requires a customized solution.
- Private Network Transport (PNT) - a domestic U.S. MPLS-based infrastructure
allows you to build a secure, high performance VPN.
- Enhanced Virtual Private Network (EVPN) - AT&T's flagship MPLS-based
service that is available in the domestic U.S. and 40+ global locations. EVPN
provides the feature-rich capability of a fully-managed IP network while
providing the security of a private network environment.
- AVPN - AT&T's newest flagship offering allows customers to implement an
MPLS-based network comprised of managed and unmanaged locations along with a
plethora of added features such as Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) and
AT&T VPN Tunneling Service
AT&T VPN Tunneling Service (AVTS) enables you to use shared Internet technology, rather than leased lines, to conduct your proprietary business. AVTS offers intelligent devices, firewalls or VPN tunnel terminators that reside on your premises to link sites together and extend remote access and site-to-site capabilities. Appropriate levels of network security, user access control and bandwidth prioritization make AVTS an ideal solution for proprietary business transactions. This service pairs well with Managed Internet Service, DSL Internet Service and other VPN services.
AT&T Network-Based IP VPN Remote Access Service
AT&T Network-Based IP VPN Remote Access Service (ANIRA) provides business customers with a single solution for remote access from an end user's personal computer or Local Area Network (LAN) to corporate LANs, intranets, extranets, as well as the public Internet. ANIRA, as a remote access service, has a global capability integrated with global egress services. When integrated with Frame Relay, IP-enabled Frame Relay, AT&T VPN or Enhanced VPN Service, ANIRA offers an ideal remote access gateway solution.
