9-1-1 Solutions for PBX Systems

PBX 9-1-1: Deliver Calling Information to Public Safety Answering Points

9-1-1 solutions for Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems help enable PBX users to deliver calling information to the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). During an emergency situation, immediate response is critical. This solution may help you resolve emergencies more quickly by facilitating fast and accurate identification of emergency calls.

More refined caller accuracy with PBX 9-1-1

In an ordinary PBX environment, the information relayed to a PSAP attendant during a 9-1-1 call is the main account telephone number and service address. However, the calling station - and the caller in need of assistance -may actually be located at a different physical address. When every second counts, a slow and misdirected response isn't an option. To help alleviate this problem, these solutions can help promote the delivery of more accurate calling party information to the appropriate PSAP. These solutions help enable emergency personnel to react in a timely and efficient manner to calls arising from locations served by a PBX.

IMPORTANT PBX SYSTEM INFORMATION

Calls to 9-1-1 from Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems may display your corporate or billing address rather than the actual location of the caller. There are steps PBX clients can take to provide location-specific information. Service Delivery

For the system to operate, you must have a private switch (PBX) business phone system. You are responsible for building the initial database and updating the database on a going forward basis to reflect move, add, change (MAC) activity.

An AT&T services team can perform station reviews and build the initial database for an added fee in some areas.
