IP Audio Conferencing Service

AT&T IP Audio Conferencing Service is a network-based, reservationless conferencing solution providing clients with enhanced features, optimized call flows, strengthened reliability and availability, advanced web-based tools and integration with web-based collaboration applications. This service can be combined with AT&T IP Flexible Reach Service to provide a total IP-based, on-net audio conferencing solution.

At  AT&T, teleconferencing is a core competence.  AT&T is committed to a long term global IP VoIP strategy with audio conferencing as one of the key applications running on our industry-leading IP-MPLS global infrastructure.

The total IP-based solution utilizes two underlying components: AT&T MIS or PNT Service as the base connectivity and AT&T IP Flexible Reach Service for full VoIP enablement.  Clients also have the flexibility of utilizing conferencing capabilities (using both PSTN and IP networks) to manage the evolution of their communications investment.  This total IP-based solution can reduce communications costs, increase user's productivity through simplified, integrated communications and reduce the overall network complexity.

Enhanced Features Provide Better Access and Security

AT&T IP Audio Conferencing Service provides several enhanced features to allow immediate access and maintain conference security.  These features include:

  • Host Selectable Access Code - the access code that hosts and participants enter to uniquely identify the Host account.
  • Host Selectable Password - a numeric code that hosts enter to identify themselves as the conference host, thereby letting them start their conference and use the commands and options reserved for the host; used also to gain access to the AT&T Conference Monitor - the Internet interface.
  • Optional Security Code - to enhance a call's security, a host can utilize a numeric security code to enhance a specific conference security or all conferences hosted.  If a conference has the security level activated, a participant must enter a valid security code to join the conference.  The security code can be assigned per conference call via the Touch-Tone commands.
  • Name Announce - participant name is announced before being joined to the call.
  • Conference Lock - the host can lock a conference call via Touch-Tone commands or Conference Monitor at anytime during the call preventing anyone from entering.
