Considerations for Telecom Expense and Carrier Management
There are many things to consider as you evaluate mobility management solutions. Here are some questions you should ask yourself:
How does your company currently enforce policies for procuring wireless services and devices?
When business operations span the globe, inconsistent procurement, approval processes and policies across mobile service providers, geographies and business units can delay mobile provisioning and raise the overall cost of obtaining wireless services.
AT&T GMM services can help you develop and maintain an online catalog of services, devices, features, and accessories to help you ensure that the right device gets to the right user. Standardizing ordering processes for supported countries can
- make your company’s mobility service and device rules and approval levels easier to enforce and costs easier to control.
Does your company have a way to accurately track and evaluate overall mobility costs and usage?
Local expense reporting, disparate accounting systems and inconsistent provider platforms, tools and billing formats all make it difficult to form an accurate picture of enterprise-wide mobility spending and usage.
With telecom expense management (TEM) services from AT&T GMM, AT&T consolidates, analyzes, and enables you to get reports on usage and spending across mobile carrier-supported countries to help you identify potential savings opportunities and optimize rate plans.
Is your company spending too much time managing multiple carriers bids, contracts and relationships?
Having employees in multiple countries usually means working with different local mobile service providers, since it is rare that a single provider can address all of the mobility needs of today’s multi-national companies.
Managing a multi-country/multi-provider environment can be complex, given bid management, contract negotiations and on-going management of resulting service agreements. Once service agreements are in place, additional complexities arise as each provider has different ordering procedures, pricing/currencies, billing formats, and support levels.
AT&T GMM (Enhanced) includes strategic carrier management services. AT&T acts as your agent to help manage the carrier engagement process, including soliciting and reviewing bids, evaluating providers and sharing recommendations with you, and providing you with pricing negotiation assistance.
How does your company manage the personal mobile devices employees use to access corporate applications and resources?
AT&T Global Mobile Management can increase your visibility and control over company-owned mobile devices by enabling ordering from a single catalog of services, devices, features, and accessories. The catalog reflects the rules and approval levels you establish, which can help you get the right device to the right user.
