AT&T Managed Token Authentication Service is a method of network access protection. It provides enhanced security to protect your network and applications from access by unauthorized users and malicious hackers, while allowing authorized end-users to securely access VPN and remote access applications, web servers and operating systems.

AT&T's "two-factor authentication" approach requires a user to provide two unique factors to gain access to your private network: something they know (a password or PIN), and something they possess (an authenticator), thus providing a much more reliable level of user authentication than static passwords. This two-factor authentication makes it far more difficult for a hacker to gain access to authentication credentials since the authenticator's token code changes randomly every sixty seconds and must be combined with a secret PIN known only by the user accessing the network.

The Token Authentication Service is supported by AT&T's state-of-the-art Internet Data Centers, which are staffed with security professionals 24x7 and continuously monitored both on-site and via AT&T's Global Network Operations Center. The service is available via subscription or as a customized, dedicated solution.

AT&T's Token Authentication Service provides network access via the Internet Data Centers, which offer fully redundant and fully diverse network access capacity of 7.2 Gigabits on an AT&T Local Services ring supported by a dual Uninterrupted Power Supply with diesel generator backup.
